International Booker Prize Shortlist readings in Bristol!
The main festival may be hibernating for 2026, but we are delighted to confirm that Translated By, Bristol will be collaborating again with The International Booker Prize to bring the annual shortlist readings event to our city!
The 2026 shortlist event, which normally takes place at London’s Southbank, will come to the Bristol Beacon for the first time ever on May 15th. Featuring shortlisted authors and translators live in conversation, this event follows on from last year’s sell-out shortlist translators’ showcase, held as part of the first ever Translated By, Bristol festival of translation and translated literature.
The full line-up for the event will be confirmed after the shortlist has been announced on March 31st.
